unfortunately it is human nature that we are better at seeing situations from our own side and noting the injustice of others actions; I have observed numerous rebellious young people who would deny all authority over them only to become "control freaks" as they age , getting worse with the years,
It seems the only type of acceptable authority over others is to belong to you or your group.
Peter will know who said that Gough would be a Roman Catholic if he could be the pope.
Maybe even with the increased wealth and education of the average citizen of the West (with now nearly 40% attending higher education) there is more opportunity to ponder the sins of your parents and to appear extra clever and insightful and compassionate when exposing the wrongs of your own society. Then it is "to the barricades" to silence the transgressors.
